COMPLIANCE ENGINEER

Lloyd Morgan Group are one of the country’s leading PCV/ HGV compliance monitoring and training companies, endorsed by our corporate partnership with the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT).
We are looking for a highly motivated, professional person to join our team of compliance engineers. The role will be predominantly on the road, attending client sites carrying out Vehicle Inspections, Audits, delivering training and assessing candidates for certification.
Training will be provided to the right candidate where needed.
The Role
- You will be working throughout the UK, with the opportunity to travel further afield into Europe, USA and the UAE, should the need arise.
- You will be responsible for managing your time and meeting required deadlines. All appointments with clients are pre-planned.
- You will be carrying out vehicle inspections and Gate Checks at customer sites to ensure the vehicles (HGV/PSV) leaving site are legal and compliant.
- You will carry out Audits at operators’ sites.
- You will provide training, both online and on site, in various aspects of transport compliance.
- You will assess candidates for awarding bodies certification.
The ideal candidate will….
- Be motivated, professional, driven and friendly.
- Will have an eye for detail, a can-do attitude and have excellent written and
verbal communication skills. - Will be forward thinking and proactive.
- Will be able to work individually and also be part of a team.
- Will understand the operational pressures facing the client whilst fulfilling your compliance work.
- Will have a thorough knowledge of not only vehicle inspection but also engineering maintenance systems and best practice.
- Would ideally have auditing knowledge and an auditing qualification along with experience of public inquiries.
- Will be computer literate, with a working knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel
- Must have relevant PCV/HGV engineering / transport management experience, preferably hold a Transport Manager CPC and a clean current UK driving licence.
- Will have experience of delivering training.
- Will deliver excellent customer service.
Where we understand one individual may not have all the skills required for this role, the right candidate can be provided necessary training.
This role will involve a significant amount of driving to all areas in the UK, there is a possibility you will spend numerous nights out per week, please consider this before applying.
