Classroom is 10 days including the exam. Homestudy gives you up to 3 months. Refresher is a short, focused format for existing holders. e-Learning is entirely self-paced alongside your main course.
You only need to resit the paper you did not pass. If you pass Paper 1 but not the case study, you can retake the case study alone without sitting the multiple-choice exam again, and vice versa.
Yes. The certificate awarded on passing is identical regardless of which format you studied through. CILT does not distinguish between routes on the certificate itself.
Both qualifications follow the same exam structure and core subject areas, but HGV applies them to goods vehicle operations, covering vehicle weights, load security and goods-specific compliance, while PSV applies the same principles to passenger transport, covering accessibility, passenger safety and PSV licensing categories.
