We have been receiving feedback from some clients that theyre being informed by other none regulatory parties within the industry that you cannot use a vehicle wihout an operator licence disc being displayed following initial approval of the licence being granted.
We have confirmed with the DVSA Customer Service Centre today that this is incorrect.
The rules for displaying an Operator Licence disc in your vehicle are as follows quoted from the DVSA themsleves.
“When a new vehicle is operated under a licence, the operator must record its registration mark on the licence, and have the disc delivered to them and displayed in the vehicle’s windscreen within 28 days of it coming into their possession.”
