The DVSA is updating how MOT testers and industry professionals access vehicle testing advice. From early July, this guidance will no longer be available through the MTS (MOT Testing Service). Instead, it has been moved to a dedicated page on the GOV.UK website.
The new format has been introduced following feedback from MOT testers, with a focus on clearer, more relevant, and easier-to-use guidance. Importantly, it’s accessible to everyone – not just those logged into MTS.
Key benefits of the new page include:
- Content reviewed by DVSA technical experts
- Updates published when manufacturers release new information
- More succinct and accessible advice
The new page is already live, giving users a chance to explore the updated layout and provide valuable feedback ahead of the full transition in July.
