Coded Welding Training Course

No formal academic qualifications are required. Some welding or fabrication experience is helpful, but our admissions team can assess your suitability based on your current skills. We'll work with you to ensure you're enrolled on the appropriate course for your needs.

We cover major standards including BS 4872, BS EN 9606 and ASME IX to suit qualified and practising welders. Welding processes include MMA (manual metal arc welding), MIG and TIG for both plate and pipe welding applications.

Duration depends on your existing qualifications, experience and business requirements. Options range from short certification tests (typically 1-2 days) for experienced welders to comprehensive training and assessment programmes (3-5 days) for those developing new skills.

Yes. Your certificate aids HGV/PSV maintenance workshops with structural repair and welding compliance. The certification demonstrates to clients, insurers and regulatory bodies that your work meets recognised industry standards.

For on-site training, we'll use your existing equipment where appropriate. For  centre assessments, all equipment can be provided at an additional cost. Our team will confirm specific requirements when you book.

Yes. Upon successful completion, you'll receive your certificate meeting industry standards. This provides recognition of your competence across commercial vehicle, engineering and maintenance sectors. Certification records are maintained to support renewal and compliance.

Yes - both terms describe the same qualification. "Coded welding" refers to welding performed to specific industry codes (such as BS EN 9606), and your certificate proves you're qualified to work to these codes.
