Level 1 Award In Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Awareness

Lloyd Morgan Group’s Level 1 Award in Electric / Hybrid Vehicle Awareness Qualification is designed to introduce the knowledge to safe working practices, the dangers surrounding, and the precautions required to avoid potential injury when near Electric / Hybrid Vehicles.

Employers have a legal duty of care under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 to ensure their employees are competent to work on electrical systems in electric and hybrid vehicles. Many operators are now, therefore, putting their staff through a basis awareness training in which to meet their duty of care.

Electric / Hybrid Vehicles – Level 1 Qualification

Who is it aimed at?

Anyone who may come in contact with an electric / hybrid vehicle including managers, valets’, parts advisors, sales and aftersales advisor, event staff, vehicle recovery personnel, vehicle dismantlers, vehicle damage assessors and electric/hybrid professional vehicle drivers.

Includes cars, vans, light commercial, HGV and PSV vehicles

Assessment

The course content of this qualification has been designed to give the knowledge required to work safely around electric / hybrid vehicles. It contains one mandatory unit covering:

  • Hazards associated with motor vehicle high energy electrical systems
  • Working safely around electric / hybrid vehicles including charging

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification and learners are not expected to have any prior knowledge or experience.

As a result of completing this qualification course, candidates will acquire significant core knowledge or working safely around, but not maintain electric / hybrid vehicles.
