Working Safely during the pandemic

As Coronavirus eases its restrictions in Great Britain the DVSA want to inform customer of the continuing of following government guidlines to stop the spread when taking vehicles in for test.

This includes;

  1. Wearing a face mask, unless exempt
  2. Washing Hands
  3. Social distancing where possible
  4. Keeping vehicles clean and tidy
  5. Keep Ventilated

Lateral Flow tests

To help keep everyone safe, it’s important to test yourself every 3 to 4 days. We’re encouraging all of the VSA’s to test, so together we can help stop the spread of Coronavirus. Any person who does not have symptoms get free lateral flow tests to check for COVID-19.
For more information on how to get them you can visit the government website.

If you test positive, you need to self isolate, this helps to stop the spread

For more information on what to do it you get a positive lateral flow test, please visit your nation’s website to find out.

If you’ve been vaccinated

whether you’ve had one vaccine or both it is still good practice to take lateral flow tests. Even if you have had both vaccines you can still catch COVID-19 and spread it to others without knowing.

Keep Testing

Vehicle testing will be cancelled in any of our VSA’s contract COVID-19. if one person contracts the virus that could cause 60 or more vehicle tests to be cancelled. This is why its so important to keep testing, continue to follow government guidelines and protecting everyone so we can keep vehicle testing on track.

As the restrictions continue to ease the DVSA will keep the situation under review and give further updates if there is any change that affects our services.
