Our Vehicle Inspector training courses are designed for both the road transport (HGV) and passenger transport (PSV) industries.

Vehicle Inspector Training
1-day Technical Update: For vehicle inspectors that are already competent in vehicle inspections and wish to receive updates and or a refresher on their vehicle inspection techniques. This course is delivered onsite only. To book this course please contact us directly.
3-day Inspection Course: For new vehicle inspectors who require training to become competent in vehicle inspections. It will involve 2 ½ days in a classroom and ½ day of practical demonstration4-day Inspection Course: For those who wish to add an optional IRTEC Accreditation to the vehicle inspection course. It will involve the 3-day course as listed above plus a 1-day IRTEC accreditation. Experience criteria is required to be met before successful registration to undertake the practical and online test to gain IRTEC Accreditation.

IRTEC Advanced Technician

HGV and PSV technicians with a minimum of 3 years industry experience of a Level 3 S/NVQ plus at least one year’s experience in a relevant industry environment. The technician must be able to work unsupervised and ideally be in full time employment to ensure they are familiar with the skills, knowledge and techniques associated with vehicle inspection. HGV and PSV technicians with a minimum of 2 years industry experience of a Level 2 S/NVQ plus at least one year’s experience in a relevant industry environment. The technician must be able to work unsupervised and ideally be in full time employment to ensure they are familiar with the skills, knowledge and techniques associated with vehicle inspection. HGV and PSV technicians with a minimum of 3 years industry experience of a Level 3 S/NVQ plus at least one year’s experience in a relevant industry environment. The technician must be able to work unsupervised and ideally be in full time employment to ensure they are familiar with the skills, knowledge and techniques associated with vehicle inspection.

Dedicated On Site Courses
