Last week the application window for ECMT permits opened and will close again on the 20th November 2020.
Late applications for the permits will not be accepted so it’s important to get yours submitted before the 20th!
The need to apply for a ECMT permit may change if there are developments on negotiations or a contingency measure for haulage access between the UK and EU. Further guidance will be provided at a later date.

EU Transition: Hauliers Information & Advice Sites open
There are now Information and Advice Sites across the UK that can be visited by drivers for advice on how to prepare for the end of the transition period.
Five pilot sites were opened on the 2nd November and there are a further 40 to be opened on the 16th November. These can be found at motorway service stations and truck stops.
The pilot sites can be found in Rugby Stobart Truck Stop, Warrington Lymm, Carlisle Stobart Truck Stop, Ashford International Truck Stop and Cullompton. A full list of sites will be available shortly.
The Department of Transport have assured us that all sites follow the latest Covid-19 guidance. You are reminded to follow social distancing rules, wear a face covering indoors and wash hands.
More information on the actions hauliers need to take ahead of the end of the Transition period can be found using this link https://www.gov.uk/guidance/carry-out-international-road-haulage-from-1-january-2021
