From the 1st April 2022 the digital requirements for DVSA’s Earned Recognition will change.
For operators or those wanting to join the Earned Recognition Scheme will not need to have one single fully digital reporting system.
Earned Recognition members consulted with IT suppliers and operators outside of the scheme which enforced the changes to be made.
From 1 April 2022, operators may use:
- more than one electronic system to collect data
- manual maintenance systems, these will still require validation
- driver defect reporting systems that will be validated on an individual basis
- a mix of electronic systems and manual systems to report key performance indicators (KPIs) and standards data
Key performance indicators (KPI’s) and standards that are required to join and be ap art of the Eanred Recognition scheme all remain unchanged.
Deadlines have been removed, this offers operators more time to meet the requirements and join the ER scheme.
The DVSA encourage you to use the digital systems as they improve the road safety outcomes, they are satisfied with the range of methods being introduced for maintenance reporting.
Those who want to apply and operators already on the scheme can still prove they are maintaining the highest standards of road safety outcomes.
