The French Government announced that as of 11pm last night all passenger transport and accompanied freight from the UK will be unable to access France. This will be in effect for 48 hours and will mean that hauliers must avoid traveling to Kent ports (including Eurotunnel) and other routes to France until this period is over.
Freights that are unaccompanied will still be able to travel to France and inbound freights will still be allowed to come to the UK. There will be a meeting held tomorrow which the Prime Minister will chair to discuss freight movement in and out of the UK.
Correct travel arrangements should be made by hauliers who are looking for alternative routes. For further updates click here.
