Attention – Bus and coach drivers: Driver CPC deadline approaching

Bus and coach drivers: Driver CPC deadline approaching

The DVSA are advising all Bus and coach drivers have less than 2 weeks left to finish their second block of Driver CPC training if they had ‘acquired rights’.

They must finish their training by the end of Sunday 9 September 2018.

People who drive buses and lorries

Drivers still have another year to finish their second block of training if they have a licence to drive both buses and lorries professionally. Their deadline is 9 September 2019.

If drivers miss their training deadline

Drivers cannot drive professionally until they finish their training.

Driving without Driver CPC carries a maximum fine of £1,000 for both the driver and the operator licence holder.

These offences will be referred to the Traffic Commissioner who will then consider what action to take. This could include suspending the driver’s licence and the operator’s licence.
